The steam tube rotary dryer is a type of rotary dryer, which consists of a tube heat exchanger, inlet and outlet center tubes, rotating drum, feeding and discharging devices, induced draft fan, dust collector, and distribution cabinet. Unlike traditional dryers that burn biomass, coal, and natural gas to produce hot air that directly contacts the material, its heating medium does not come into direct contact with the material. So, how does steam tube rotary dryer process materials?
The steam tube rotay dryer uses steam/heat transfer oil as the heating medium. High temperature steam/heat transfer oil fills the tubes, and the wet material enters the dryer. Under the action of the lifting plate and flipping tube evenly distributed in the drum, it fully contacts with the tube heat exchanger and performs heat and mass transfer, constant temperature drying at a temperature of 110-250 ℃. The moisture evaporates and is discharged with the air, gradually reducing the moisture in the material. The material drying process is completed.
The steam pipe is completely enclosed by the dryer, and there is very little heat loss through the cylinder wall, so the thermal efficiency of the steam pipe dryer is very high.
The exhaust emissions of indirect heating dryers are about 80% less than those required by direct heating dryers, which greatly reduces the cost of dust removal equipment.
There is no open flame generated during heating, making it particularly suitable for drying flammable and explosive materials.
Unlike the high drying temperature of direct fired dryers, the drying temperature of steam tube rotary dryers is only 100-250 ℃, which can prevent materials from being burnt or destroyed. At the same time, the color of the material will be better preserved, and if used to dry distiller's grains, the nutritional components will not be lost.
Such as DDGS (distiller's grains protein), soybean meal, and cottonseed hulls. These materials are usually highly viscous, and the steam tube rotary dryer can effectively prevent wall sticking through internal lifting plates and rotation.
Including corn stover, wheat stover, bamboo chips, wood flour, etc. Utilizing steam thermal energy to destroy cellulose structure and achieve drying and densification.
Inorganic salts and powders such as sodium carbonate (soda ash), aluminum hydroxide, barium sulfate, silica micro powder, etc. The tubular design can avoid direct contact of materials with flames and prevent decomposition and deterioration.
Phosphate fertilizers, urea, compound fertilizers, etc., especially in scenarios that require high-temperature calcination or drying
Such as blast furnace slag, coal gangue, and tailings slag. This type of material usually has high hardness and requires wear-resistant tube materials (such as 304/316L stainless steel).
Steam tube rotary dryer is a form of indirect low-temperature drying that has wide applications in industry. If you have any questions about the steam tube rotary dryer, please feel free to consult at any time.
Anthracite coal is an important clean energy source that produces almost no smoke during combustion and has a high calorific value. It is mainly used in the metallurgical industry and high-end civilian heating. However, anthracite raw coal has a high mois
Global breweries generate tens of thousands of tons of waste every day, including yeast residue rich in high protein and amino acids, as well as bioactive substances. In the context of high prices of traditional protein sources (fish meal, soybean) in the
Olive pomace is the main byproduct of olive oil extraction through mechanical pressing. It is rich in cellulose, lignin, and various bioactive substances, and can be utilized in many industries after proper processing.
Chicken farms produce tens to hundreds of tons of chicken manure every day. Fresh chicken manures contain about 70-80% moisture. High moisture manure will increase transportation costs, accelerate the reproduction of pathogens, bacteria, and flies, and pr
