Oil palm waste refers to various residues generated during the palm oil production process, such as empty fruit bunches(EFB), palm kernel meal, palm press fibers, palm kernel shells(PKS) and palm oil residues. These wastes are considered to have high utilization value and can be used as raw materials for biomass energy, feed and papermaking, which helps to achieve resource recycling and reduce environmental pollution.
From empty oil palm fruit bunches, palm shells, palm kernel shells to palm fiber, we provide a full chain of palm by-product processing solutions, combined with rotary dryer technology, to transform palm plantation waste into high value-added resources.
Palm byproducts are evenly fed into the drum through a screw conveyor, and the materials are turned over by the internal spiral lifter, fully contacted with the high-temperature hot air, and the moisture content is reduced to below 15%. The dried materials are collected through the discharge port. The drying system supports a variety of heat sources such as biomass pellets, diesel, and natural gas, and can be tailored to your production needs.
Dried palm waste has multiple uses:
●Biomass energy: replace diesel and thermal coal to power steam boiler power plants, with low cost and stable calorific value.
●Organic fertilizer: rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, promotes soil improvement.
●Papermaking: replace wood pulp and reduce production costs.
●Feed: can partially replace traditional protein feed such as soybean meal, reducing feed costs
●Activated carbon: can absorb pollutants after deep processing.
Materials:Widely used for drying EFB, PKS, palm fiber, palm residue, palm kernel meal and other oil palm waste.
Application:Drying oil palm waste such as EFB and fiber for biomass fuel and energy utilization.
Material enters the inner layer of the rotary drum for downstream drying. As the drum rotates, lifting plates continuously raise and disperse the material, enabling spiral heat exchange. It then moves into the middle layer for countercurrent drying, where repeated lifting extends the retention time and allows the material to fully absorb heat from both the inner and middle drums, reaching an optimal drying state.
Finally, the material falls into the outer layer, traveling in a multi-loop path. Properly dried material is quickly discharged under hot air flow, while wetter material remains longer due to its weight until fully dried, ensuring uniform and efficient drying.
