Pomace is the solid part of the fruit that remains after it has been pressed to extract its juice or oil. Jiutian pomace belt dryer has large output, high efficiency and energy saving, small footprint, 30-50% energy saving than ordinary dryers, and saves energy and drying costs to the greatest extent.
Jiutian® pomace dryer can be used for drying olive pomace, apple pomace, oil palm residue, avocado residue, vinegar pomace, citrus pomace, bagasse, fermented pomace, etc. It solves the problems of sticking to the wall, caking and clogging when high-viscosity pomace is dried, and can reduce the moisture content of pomace to 15% at one time. Jiutian pomace dryer will not destroy the nutritional value of the raw materials, the finished product has beautiful color, uniform moisture distribution and drying, and the pomace taste and color are good, which can improve the palatability and feed intake. The dried olive pomace can also be used as biofuel.
The principle of pomace belt dryer: Wet pomace are uniformly put on the mesh-belt by the feeder. The mesh-belt uses generally 12-60 mesh stainless steel wire net and it is drawn and moved inside the drier by a transmission device. The drier is composed of several units. For each unit, the hot air is circulated separately. Some exhausted gas is discharged with a special moisture elimination blower. The waste gas is controlled through an adjustment valve. The hot air passes through the mesh-belt covered with the material from the top to the bottom or from the bottom to the top and this will complete the heat and mass transfer process. This process will bring the material water away. The mesh-belt moves slowly, running speed can be freely adjusted according to the material temperature. The final products after drying will fall into the material collector continuously. The top and low circulation units can be freely equipped according to the users’ demand. The unit number can be selected according to the demand.
