  1. Raw material preparation and screening

  The raw materials for making wood pellets are sawdust from various woods, such as hardwood, softwood, shavings, redwood, poplar, etc. If the material particle size is greater than 5mm, it needs to be crushed using a wood crusher.

  2. Drying treatment

  The moisture requirements of the raw materials of the wood pellet machine are strict. No matter what kind of sawdust, the moisture content must be kept at around 15%. Too dry will not form, and too much moisture will easily loosen. A sawdust drum dryer is needed for drying.

  3. Pellet Forming

  Sawdust is fed into the biomass pellet machine. Inside the mill, the material is pressed through small holes in a die under high pressure. The combination of pressure and friction heats the sawdust, causing the lignin in the fibers to soften and act as a natural adhesive, binding the pellets together. No additional adhesive is usually required.

  4. Cooling and Screening

  The pellets fresh out of the pellet machine are hot and soft and need to be cooled to harden and stabilize their shape. Cooling also prevents moisture from condensing inside the package, which prevents the pellets from deteriorating.

  5. Packaging and Storage

  The pellets are packed in bulk or in bags for storage and distribution. We provide moisture-proof packaging to increase the shelf life of the pellets.
