  Bentonite cat litter has excellent water absorption and clumping properties, and is highly favored by cat owners with a large market share. Establishing a bentonite cat litter production plant is relatively easy to get started, but the key is to build an efficient, compliant, and cost controllable production line. The following will focus on introducing the equipment required to establish a bentonite cat litter production line.

  Raw material: Sodium based bentonite is an ideal cat litter material with strong water absorption and swelling properties, and is prone to clumping. Sodium carbonate (to enhance adsorption), potassium permanganate (to kill bacteria), and water glass (to increase polymerization power) need to be added to assist in granulation. After drying and dehydration to a moisture content of ≤ 6%, naturally cool to 6% -8% to avoid moisture absorption and agglomeration.

  Production line equipment:

  1. Crushing and screening: Send the prepared bentonite raw material into a crusher for crushing to obtain powder with appropriate particle size. Choose a crusher with high stability and strong wear resistance.

  2. Mixing: Send the screened bentonite powder and other additives (such as spices, deodorizers, etc.) into the mixer for uniform mixing, ensuring that each particle has good functionality and adsorption capacity.

  3. Granulation: Send the mixed materials into the cat litter granulator, set the parameters, and form uniform cat litter particles.

  4. Drying and sieving: The formed particles are dried by a rotary dryer, which helps to maintain the stability of cat litter particles and extend their shelf life. Then use a screening machine to screen again, ensuring the particle uniformity and appropriate particle size of the final product.

  5. Coating: After drying and cooling, the particles enter the coating process. The coating machine evenly sprays the coating material onto the surface of the particles and rolls it inside the drum to ensure even distribution of the coating material. The coating process can reduce dust, improve water absorption and agglomeration, and enhance deodorization effect. Afterwards, the coated particles are dried and cooled again to ensure that the coating material is fully cured.

  6. Packaging: Use a fully automatic packaging machine to weigh and automatically package qualified cat litter particles into bags for easy sales and transportation.

  The core process of the bentonite cat litter production line can be summarized as follows: crushing -> mixing -> granulation -> drying -> cooling -> coating -> packaging. The selection of each type of equipment may affect the final quality of cat litter products. Only by selecting each type of equipment and optimizing production processes can we produce high-quality bentonite cat litter with low dust and high odor absorption capacity that is competitive in the market.
