The coal slime drying project in Huangling, Shaanxi—undertaken by Zhengzhou Jiutian—is progressing steadily; the site is equipped with two sets of large-scale coal slime drying systems.
Coal production and processing generate significant quantities of coal slime as a by-product. Characterized by high moisture content and high viscosity, this material tends to cake during storage, incurs high long-distance transportation costs, and is difficult to utilize directly. This project employs a customized process solution tailored to the specific properties of the local coal slime, featuring a design capacity of 80 tons per hour and an initial feed moisture content of ≤30%. Following continuous heat exchange and drying within the system, the moisture content of the finished product is stably controlled at ≤15%.
Once dried and upgraded, the coal slime becomes loose and non-sticky with significantly improved flowability; this facilitates easier storage and transport while allowing for direct use as fuel in production, effectively transforming waste into a valuable resource. The equipment operates reliably with ample processing capacity, meeting the demands of continuous production operations at the mining site.
The implementation of this project effectively manages solid coal slime waste, thereby mitigating the environmental impact associated with stockpiling. Simultaneously, it unlocks the economic value of the material, helping the enterprise reduce costs and increase revenue, while serving as a proven, reliable equipment application case for the resource recovery and disposal of coal slime in the Northern Shaanxi coal region.
