Coal Drying Project in Lahore, Pakistan Enters Installation and Commissioning Phase

Construction of the coal drying project in Lahore, Pakistan—undertaken by Zhengzhou Jiutian—is progressing smoothly. The project has now fully entered the installation and commissioning phase, marking a critical milestone in its implementation.

The project utilizes a drying process tailored to the characteristics of the local high-moisture raw coal. The raw coal initially contains up to 45% moisture; after processing through the complete drying system, the moisture content of the finished coal is stably controlled at 26%. This drying and quality-enhancement process effectively reduces losses during storage and transportation, alleviates production issues such as caking and clogging caused by high-moisture coal, improves coal quality, and better aligns with local production needs for coal mining, processing, and sales.

Located in Lahore, Pakistan, this is a key overseas industrial equipment project. Throughout implementation, our technical team actively overcame numerous challenges—including time zone differences for cross-border communication, varying overseas construction conditions, and distinct local operational environments—while closely monitoring progress at every stage, from initial process planning, equipment manufacturing, and ocean container shipping to on-site installation. On-site technical personnel worked closely with the client's construction team, adhering to industrial technical standards to complete equipment assembly, piping connections, and electrical wiring, while steadily proceeding with individual unit testing and integrated system commissioning.

Coal is a core domestic energy resource in Pakistan, yet the high moisture content of raw coal has long hindered the efficient development and utilization of local coal resources. Once completed and operational, this drying production line will enable the client to upgrade raw coal quality, optimize product specifications, and enhance the market competitiveness of their coal products. This project represents another successful deployment of our drying equipment in the South Asian market; it enriches our portfolio of overseas engineering projects in the field of mineral drying and lays a solid foundation for the continued expansion of our energy-sector drying business in Pakistan and the surrounding South Asian region.

At this stage, the project team is continuing with subsequent commissioning tasks, including comprehensive performance testing and technical training for the client's operators. The project will be officially handed over for production once all performance indicators meet acceptance criteria. Moving forward, our company will continue to deliver mature, reliable drying equipment systems and integrated engineering services, helping global customers dry and upgrade the quality of minerals and solid waste materials; we remain committed to deepening our presence in overseas markets and providing professional, stable, and comprehensive industrial drying solutions.
