Construction is currently underway on a sweet potato residue drying project in Sinan, Guizhou, undertaken by Zhengzhou Jiutian Technology Machinery Co., Ltd. Designed to address the challenges posed by the high moisture content of local sweet potato processing by-products—which are prone to spoilage and difficult to store or transport—this customized drying production line enables the client to reduce the volume of residue and repurpose it as a valuable resource.
Fresh sweet potato residue generated during processing has a high moisture content (up to 70%). If not dried promptly, it quickly ferments and grows mold, occupying valuable space and creating environmental concerns. The technical team at Jiutian Machinery developed a comprehensive drying solution tailored to the local climate in Sinan, the facility’s layout, and the specific characteristics of the sweet potato residue. The system includes integrated components for conveying, drying, and dust removal, ensuring continuous and stable operation.
The production line is designed with a processing capacity of 260 tons per 24 hours, facilitating large-scale, continuous operations. Once operational, the system will reduce the moisture content of the fresh residue—initially at 70% or less—to 13% or less. The resulting dried product is uniform in quality and suitable for long-term storage. It can be further utilized as an ingredient for animal feed or as a base for organic fertilizer, effectively transforming waste into a usable resource.
Construction is proceeding according to schedule, with Jiutian Machinery’s technical staff on-site to oversee the installation, ensure strict quality control, and manage technical details—laying a solid foundation for subsequent equipment commissioning and a smooth start to production.
