Flash dryer and spray dryer are two kinds of drying equipment often used in industry. Their principles are different, but they have some similarities. Next, we will mainly compare the differences between these two drying equipment.
The flash dryer is a new type of continuous drying equipment integrating drying, crushing and grading, especially suitable for drying paste, slurry and filter cake materials. The drying time of the wet material in the drying tower is only 5-8 seconds, and the water evaporates instantly. The quality of the dried product has a lot to do with the drying temperature, wind speed, air volume, and crushing speed. The Jiutian flash dryer can be adjusted The wind speed of the tangential entry of the flash drying can adjust the size of the finished product particles and the final moisture content.
The working principle of the flash dryer is that the hot air enters the annulus at the bottom of the drying chamber from the inlet pipe in a tangential direction, and rises in a spiral shape. At the same time, the material is quantitatively added into the tower by the feeder, and fully heat exchanged with the hot air. The larger and wetter material is mechanically crushed under the action of the agitator, and the material with lower moisture content and smaller particle size is rotated with the rotating airflow. And rise, transported to the separator for gas-solid separation, the finished product is collected and packaged, and the tail gas is emptied after being treated by the dust removal device.
Spray dryer is a widely used process in liquid process forming and drying industry. It is suitable for producing powdery, granular or block solid products from solutions, emulsions, suspensions and plastic paste liquid raw materials. Therefore, spray drying is an ideal process when the particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density and particle shape of the finished product are within specification.
The process of spray drying is as follows: the feed liquid is sprayed into droplets and dispersed in the hot air flow through the atomizer. The air is sent to the air heater to be heated by the blower, and then enters the spray dryer to be in contact with the mist to dry. Part of the product falls into the bottom of the tower, and part of it is sucked into the first-stage cyclone separator by the first-stage induced draft fan. After separation, the tail gas is vented. The product at the bottom of the tower and the product collected by the cyclone separator are drawn out by the secondary exhaust fan, separated by the secondary cyclone separator and then packaged.
These two kinds of drying equipment have some things in common, such as short drying time and good quality of dried products. Zhengzhou Jiutian is flash dryer manufacturer, if you are interested in our machine, you can contact us.
Potato starch residue, a byproduct of potato processing, is often considered waste. However, with the right approach, it can be transformed into a profitable resource. One of the most effective ways to monetize potato starch residue is by using a potato r
