Biomass pellet production lines have relatively high requirements for moisture. Our moisture requirements for raw materials are generally 15%-20%. If the moisture is greater than 20%, we do not recommend that you use the biomass pellet production line, but we can use the drying method to achieve the normal operation of the biomass pellet production line. However, the moisture must not be too large, otherwise it will affect both the yield and the forming rate. Next, let's take a look at the requirements of the biomass pellet production line for raw material moisture.
Problems with low moisture content of raw materials in biomass pellet production line:
1.When the excessively dry raw materials enter the granulator, as the pressing wheel and the mold rotate, the dust in the raw materials is drawn into the granulating chamber, which reduces the quality of the production environment and affects the health of the employees.
2.Due to the low density of the raw materials and their dryness, the pressing wheel cannot press the raw materials into the die hole, which seriously affects the forming rate!
3. Due to insufficient friction, sufficient pressure cannot be generated, and too dry raw materials cannot form a thin layer. If the pressure is not enough, sufficient heat cannot be generated to soften the lignin, so the raw materials cannot be bonded into a thin layer.
Problems with high moisture content of raw materials in biomass pellet production line:
1.When the wet raw material enters the granulator, the pressure roller tries to press the raw material into the die hole. At this time, a very large pressure will be generated, which will cause high temperature and a large amount of water vapor.
2. Due to the high pressure generated when the raw material is pressed into the die hole, the motor of the biomass pellet production line will be overloaded. If the high pressure continues, the motor will stop, which will affect the bearings in the drum.
3. When passing through the die hole, the wet raw material generates huge pressure, which will cause the raw material to pass through very slowly and affect the output of the biomass pellet production line.
4. The output particles will be very soft and may be in small lumps. Since the particles still contain a lot of water at this time, they will expand first and then release the water. Therefore, the produced particles cannot reach the ideal state - A cylinder that is both smooth and dense.
