Biomass pellets are a type of fuel that uses rollers and ring dies to cold-densely mold crushed biomass straw, forestry waste and other raw materials. The following is the production process of biomass pellets:
1. Raw material collection and preparation
The production of biomass pellets first requires the collection of various biomass raw materials, such as sawdust, bark, branches, crop straw, etc. The raw materials need to be transported to the production workshop and undergo preliminary processing, such as removing impurities and crushing, to ensure the smooth progress of subsequent processes.
2. Cutting and crushing
After the raw materials enter the workshop, they pass through a dedicated raw material conveyor and enter the cutting or crushing stage after iron removal. The cutter is used to cut the raw materials into 15-20mm long needle-shaped and foam-shaped fragments, while the crusher is used to further reduce the size of the raw materials.
3. Drying
Drying is an important step in the production of biomass pellets. The cut or crushed raw materials need to be dried in a dryer to remove the moisture, which is crucial to ensure the quality and combustion performance of the pellets.
4. Pellet Forming
After drying, the raw materials pass through the wood chip pellet machine. Under the rotation of the pressing wheel and the action of the mold, the powdered materials form a continuous cylindrical solid body and finally form biomass pellets.
5. Cooling and screening
After the pellets leave the pellet machine, they need to be cooled by a cooler to reduce their temperature and remove the steam on the surface. Afterwards, the pellets enter the screening machine to screen out qualified products.
As a new type of particulate fuel, biomass pellets have won wide recognition for their unique advantages; compared with traditional fuels, they not only have economic advantages but also environmental benefits, which fully meet the requirements of sustainable development. Potato starch residue, a byproduct of potato processing, is often considered waste. However, with the right approach, it can be transformed into a profitable resource. One of the most effective ways to monetize potato starch residue is by using a potato r
The coal slime dryer is a specialized industrial equipment designed to reduce the moisture content in coal slime, a by-product of coal washing and processing. With the increasing demand for efficient energy utilization and environmental protection, the co
South America is endowed with abundant biomass resources that offer immense potential for renewable energy. The continent’s rich forests, expansive agricultural lands, and energy crops provide an excellent foundation for a robust biomass pellet production
Okara, also known as soybean pulp, is a byproduct of tofu and soy milk production. Although rich in fiber and protein, fresh okara has a high moisture content (about 80%), making it highly perishable. To extend its shelf life and enhance its usability in
