DDGS (Distillers dried grains with solubles) is the residue after saccharification, fermentation, and distillation of alcohol from grains (corn, sorghum, barley, wheat, etc.) during the production of edible alcohol, industrial alcohol, and fuel ethanol. Since the protein content of DDGS is more than 26%, it can be used as a new protein feed raw material. It is usually used to replace soybean meal and fish meal in livestock, poultry and aquatic feed, and can be directly fed to ruminants.
Due to the high moisture content of alcohol grains, they have a short shelf life and are prone to spoilage and mold growth. Therefore, if the farm cannot ensure that the distillers grains are used up within the shelf life, they should find ways to extend the storage time of the distillers grains. The distiller's grain dryer can quickly reduce the moisture content of wet distiller's grain to about 15%, while effectively preserving nutrients. It is an important equipment for the comprehensive utilization of distiller's grain.
Working principle of distiller's grain dryer: The 60-65% liquor lees screw conveyor is sent to the mixing drum dryer to achieve downstream drying. The materials are continuously picked up and scattered under the copy board and move forward in a spiral manner. The built-in multi-layer copy board structure fully mixes the materials. Disperse and throw, the material and the hot air fully exchange heat, the moisture quickly evaporates and vaporizes, the material that achieves the drying effect quickly travels out of the drum under the action of the hot air, and the wet material that does not achieve the drying effect cannot travel quickly due to its own weight. Drying, which achieves the drying effect, completes the drying process and is discharged by the screw conveyor. A shock cleaning device is installed inside the drum to prevent the material from adhering to the wall of the drum. The gas flow is: the air is pressurized by the hot blast stove blower into the hot blast stove for combustion and heating, and the temperature reaches 600-950 ℃. It is sucked into the dryer by the induced draft fan after the dryer to dry the material and evaporate the moisture. After three layers of heat exchange, the wind temperature The temperature is lowered to 55-60℃ and discharged out of the dryer. The dust-containing moisture is collected by the cyclone dust collector, and the wet dust collector is purified and discharged to the standard.
